Kiran has been working as a Consultant Oral Surgeon at Guy’s Hospital, London, since 2012. She qualified from King’s College London in 2003 and has worked in various hospitals and specialist dental practices across London and Kent gaining experience in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Medicine, Restorative Dentistry, Community Dentistry and General Dental Practice. She then completed her oral surgery specialist training in 2011 and joined the oral surgery specialist list as accredited by the General Dental Council. In 2019, she was also appointed by NHS England as the Training Programme Director for oral surgery specialist trainees across London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex for which she oversees and quality assures all training posts across the regions.
Kiran provides the full scope of oral surgery procedures ranging from extractions, wisdom tooth surgery, cyst removal, implants, bone grafts, biopsies, soft tissue lesions, apicectomies, skin lesions, orthodontic related surgery, management of temporomandibular joint dysfunction and facial pain. She has a special interest in gland-preserving surgery for obstructive salivary gland disease for which she is joint surgical lead within the Specialist Salivary Gland service at Guy’s Hospital, where patients are referred to from across the UK. She has been accredited with a diploma in sedation and can offer all treatment under local anaesthetic or intravenous sedation.
